What Are the stages of clay? How does it chemically change from something that is made in the studio to something that we can use in our everyday life?
Why is glazing important to make things food safe? What is glaze made of and how does it differ in color and lusture?
Why do pieces need to be fired at different temperatures in the kiln?
In this multiage lesson, we will be learning the answers to all of these questions. Afterwards, we will be making our own piece, using local Ohio clay and glazes.
Ages 6-16 (age groups will be divided)
